Monthly Meeting

Meeting was called to order by the Vice President Garry Dymond due to non-arrival of the President at 8:10 PM

Garry welcomed the audience with a review of the RASC and benefits of membership.

Observation Reports – Ben, Chris, Marcellus.

Images and a short movie of Comet Lovejoy (from spaceweather.com) were shown.

A short video presentation was made - “The Christmas Star”

Members were offered 2012 calendars for purchase; the few remaining quantity are still available at the next few meetings.

Garry sought meeting ideas from the members present.

Members were informed that the January 2012 Meeting would have the first of three speakers.

Coffee & Christmas Social – Members were invited to partake in a social and to continue informal discussion. Joe English was honoured at the social bu a review of his contributions and how much we miss him.
