  • Speaker: " Houston, We have a inside tour." - Garry Dymond
    Come join us at the September meeting  as our own Garry Dymond gives us an inside tour of the Houston Space Center . See the Apollo Mission control center where we heard "The eagle has landed" . On the floor of the Space Vehicle Mockup Facility, where Astronauts train for their mission, the Clean Room where the Moons rocks are studied and of course Rocket Park where a full size Saturn V rocket is displayed and view other rockets used to travel into space. Plus a tour of the George Observatory which is located in a Texas state park which will gives us ideas for our our Butterpot Observatory.

Important Note: The road between the Chemistry Bldg. and the residences is now one-way south.
So, if you approach from Elizabeth Ave., use the new entrance to Lot 5 at it's southern end.

Please Note: Meetings normally take place on the 3rd Wednesday of each month, September to June.
