  • Speaker: Dr. Michael Morrow: "Nutrinos"
    This year's Nobel prize to Takaaki Kajita and Art McDonald recognizes the discovery of neutrino oscillations, at Super-Kamiokande and the Sudbury
    Neutrino Observatory respectively, which demonstrates that neutrinos have non-zero mass. This talk will briefly review the development of neutrino physics,
    the discovery of neutrino oscillations, and the significance of neutrinos both to our understanding of the Sun and to our understanding of heavy element
    nucleosynthesis in core-collapse supernovae.
